Bstar has been providing leading business advisory solutions since 1999.

The viba advisory process developed by Bstar provides its Alliance Partners, including Accountants, Business and Financial Advisers, the methodology and systems to build business advisory solutions for SME’s.

Following the release of its Business Valuation Tool in 2005, which includes a patented algorithm to calculate a business capitalisation rate, Bstar launched the Alliance Partner Program in 2008 that enabled advisory firms to use the tools, materials and Programs, to expand their advisory services to SMEs.

The Business Life Planning Program, our flagship business planning tool was released in 2009.

In 2010 Bstar’s launched the Knowledge Bank enabling the production of benchmarking reports on both a valuation assessment and financial performance basis.

The viba White Paper was also released in 2010 detailing 7 manageable steps for our Alliance Partners to become their clients’ most trusted Business Adviser. The viba process provides a pathway from client engagement through to implementation and ongoing support for SMEs.

In 2012 the Risk and Value Driver Assessment went online furthering the process of automating Business Valuation Assessments and the data integration tool with XERO was completed and made available to Alliance Partners.

2014 saw the release of the inaugural Accountants Research Report and the SME Engagement Guide. The ARR provided in-depth insights into the current state of the accounting industry, including highlight challenges, opportunities and emerging trends.

In 2015 Bstar partnered with Chartered Accountants Australia and New Zealand to develop the Practice Advice Essentials Professional Development Course and the release of a range Industry Specialisation Packages.

The first SME Research Report was also a significant event of 2015. This report was prepared so that Alliance Partners could create a white label version and use it for marketing and promotional purposes.

In conjunction with Bank of Queensland Specialist the Dental Research Report was released in 2016.

The Better Business Program and the Business Risk Survey were two significant applications launched in the second half of 2017. The BBP uses the data gathered from the RAVDA to automatically build a SWOT analysis and then use information that as a basis to complete a Business Improvement Plan.

Bstar continues to support their Alliance Partners with release of the 2017/18 Accountants Research Report and the 2017/18 SME Research Report.

Early 2018, Bstar released the Not-For-Profit Package, which includes the Organisation Risk Surveys and Scorecards, Strategic Improvement Program and Financial Performance, Revenue and Operating Costs Benchmarks.

2018 is a pivotal year for Bstar with the development of a new website, partner site incorporating Bstar’s new visual identity.
